Julia’s mother was Betty Lou Bredemus, who took birth in Minneapolis, Mississippi district in the United States. Betty Lou’s father was a football player named Wendell John Bredemus, whose mother, Eleanor Johnson’s birthplace was Sweden.

It is also believe that a distant Cherokee ancestry may also be a part of the Roberts’ family tree. Exposure to so many backgrounds, right from childhood probably gave Julia so much to learn which can be seen from her acting skills.
