It seems to be a tough business handling kids who are picky eaters. Parents do find it difficult to keep up with work and other household responsibilities. There are many techniques through which you can ensure that you kid eats the right food at the right time. Like always make you kid feel special by trying out various recipes and dishes that kids of his or her age love to eat.
Firstly, involve you kid in the kitchen by allowing him or her to select dishes and teach them the simple ones. You can allow the kid to try them sometimes without you needing to help him. Your kid can surely add some variations to it and that would really make a good start. If you are really scared about the fact that your kid does not eat the right amount of vegetables, then smartly include them in the pizzas, soups, spaghettis and rolls. They would get the right amount of nutrition followed by their favorite recipe. Never force your kid to eat everything once he starts eating. Allow them to take minimal quantities which might not lead to any food wastage and you would realize his taste too.
The most important thing that most parents fail to do is inculcating good habits in them. All you need to do is making sure you provide him home cooked food, creating awareness about junk and fast food, never allowing them to over-eat their favorite food. If the basic is good then no matter how old he or she is they will always remember to eat healthy. Also, if he refuses some food, understand the reason and try to make the kid eat it in a manner that is not forceful. Do provide him his favorite food once in a while.
