Once you confirm that you are pregnant, you have to take extreme care on how you handle yourself. The first trimester is the most delicate period of the pregnancy. During this period if you do anything wrong you can cause irreparable harm to the fetus. Do not do anything that is extreme in nature and this includes your regular activities like gymnasium, or playing games, or any form of exercise. You should also keep the exercise minimal.
You should avoid lifting heavy things because sudden movements may harm the baby. In the baby’s best interest, you should also immediately see the doctor and start taking your prenatal vitamins. These vitamins are crucial for the baby’s growth. They make sure the baby grows mentally and physically inside the womb by meeting with the body’s demands.
Also, before having medications always consult a doctor. Do not have anything that was not prescribed to you. You need to consult your doctor even about your travel plans. Though the 1st trimester may be safe for travel, not all people are so lucky. If the doctor sees any risk, then she would let your know. If your profession involves a lot of psychical activity, then you should take a break from the work or change your role which is more relaxed like sitting down and staying put. You should talk to your doctor about your entire physical routine and if she sees a problem with anything you should stop immediately. The first trimester only lasts three months, and you have to be very careful during this period.
