Getting Pregnant After Stillbirth

Pregnancy is a natural process and a woman can get pregnant any time she wants as long as she as her ovaries is working properly. There may be some hurdles in the form of health conditions and long term disorders, but several women have become pregnant despite all.

A stillbirth is an event where the baby is born under normal circumstances but is not alive. It is a very hurtful situation for any mother who has been so looking forward for the birth of the baby. However, a stillbirth can occur at any time after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and our modern science does not have an answer as to why stillbirths occur. Therefore, there is no way to prevent them. If the baby was to be born before the entire time of pregnancy and was alive, it would have been called a premature child. If the baby is not alive, then it is called a stillbirth.

However, stillbirths do not have a bearing on a woman’s ability to get pregnant again. Women can get pregnant as long as they are capable of and are healthy. Women in their late 40s have got pregnant and there is proof ion the form of research. So, stillbirth and future pregnancies are two unrelated terms. Also, if the first pregnancy was a stillbirth, then the second pregnancy could be absolutely normal. Actually this has been proven several times. That is why stillbirths are considered as unfortunate events that do not have an explanation.
