You do not have to be in constant pain and wonder why it happened to you. And you do not have to confront the abuser in order to heal. Of course, the facing of the facts will not be easy. It may take a few weeks, months or years. You can also seek professional counseling to help you accept the fact. Once you accept that the abuse was not your fault, you will begin to heal and be ready to move on with your life.

Remember psychotherapeutic treatment will help you deal with the sexual abuse and put you on your way to recovery. This is a problem that needs professional help and you should not be ashamed of asking for it and taking it.
