Hyperhidrosis is a state where a person is subjected to excessive sweating. Sweating is a common phenomenon but when it becomes too much it is a matter of concern. The first thing that occurs with a person suffering from hyperhidrosis is the fact that he isolates himself from the social gatherings because he finds excessive sweating to be quite embarrassing.
Excessive sweating could occur under the arms resulting in foul smelling or it could be in neck, hands, feet or even face. There could be many reasons for excessive sweating. Few sweats more because of some environmental reasons, others sweat because of physical conditions.
It has often been noticed that when a person is under stress or pressure, he tends to sweat a lot. This is absolutely normal. There are ample examples of such people. These cases cannot be brought under the hyperhidrosis. Few other people sweat a lot because they suffer from diabetes. In such a case, instead of treating hyperhidrosis, one must look for the treatment of diabetes first.
Hyperhidrosis has been classified into two varieties primary and secondary. One has to find out the reasons first. If somebody is actually suffering from hyperhidrosis, one must give some thought to acupuncture. Acupuncture has helped many people in treating various types of diseases. It actually aims at improving the emotional state of a person. Once the emotional state is harmonized the person gets himself associated to the social circle in that he need not worry of pulling himself away from the society.
