Some people consider ovarian cancer as silent killer. This disease is viewed like this just because of the fact that people miss detecting this disease earlier and once it is detected in later stages then the treatment options are painful which seems really frightening to people suffering from this disease.
In the beginning, the symptoms are not huge so one may be unable to detect the presence of this ailment. But as far as the initial symptoms are concerned, it includes pain or a sensation of pressure. Researches have proved that though these symptoms occur in the beginning of this disease but people unknowingly ignore them which then make the treatment difficult afterwards. In some cases, the physicians too do not care much about such symptoms and consider them to be just normal.
In the early stages, there are not much symptoms that are seen but still there are a few. Pelvic symptoms experienced sometimes may be due to intestinal disturbances but in case these symptoms persist for a longer time period then it must be considered as a sign of ovarian cancer. The other very important fact about this disease is that when certain symptoms are seen on continuous basis and the physician is unable to detect any ailment then it may be ovarian cancer especially the ones that are felt at the pelvis. These may include symptoms like change in the bowel movement for instance one may experience diarrhea or the problem of constipation, bladder irregularities such as frequent urination. Once such symptoms are experienced by a person, they must not be ignored and must be consulted with a physician immediately so that this disease may be treated as soon as possible.
