Some people feel like purging and dizzy as soon as they eat their meals. This symptom is usually associated with the digestive system and also diabetes. People who have gastroenteritis diseases or conditions feel dizzy and nauseous after they eat. It may have something to do with what they ate also.
Gastroenteritis also means aversion to some types of food. If the body has a chemical reaction because of the food you ate it might try to throw it out immediately and that is why people feel like purging or giddy when they eat. Dizziness after eating is actually a difficult symptom to diagnose. It may be due to food allergies or due to dehydration and body’s inability to digest the food also.
People who have problems with low blood sugar may also feel this way. It is often noticed when they eat a carbohydrate rich diet. If you have rice and potatoes for lunch it can cause dizziness and nausea. Carbohydrates are easy to digest and get into the blood stream quickly. The sudden overflow of glucose into the blood stream can make the blood sugar levels rise sharply and cause dizziness for the person. Also if the blood sugar levels rise abnormally then they may even vomit. It is a temporary reaction in the body. That is why doctors advice people with low and high blood sugar to eat protein rich diet and also complex carbohydrates instead of rice. When a person is feeling dizzy the first thing to do is sit down and breathe in slowly.
