What The Bible Says To Unmarried Parents Raising A Child ?

The bible condemns people who raise children without wedlock. However, the rule does not apply to divorced parents or single parenting. The rule applies to couples who live in together and raise a child. Religiously it is not a permissible thing.

Marriage, though a very symbolic concept, helps couples to abide by the sanctity and rules of it. Parenting a child is much more a serious responsibility than the marriage itself.

Unless a couple is married, they cannot pass on the values of a family to a child. According to a research couples that live in without marriages break up much faster than a couple who is married. The sanctity and the public acceptance of the relationship play a larger role in the minds of the couples and most of them try to avoid divorce. However, in the case of the live in couples since they do not have a bond other than an emotional bond it becomes much easier for them to sever the relationship.

A child who is caught amidst of the separation faces the worst consequences when they are dragged into separation. It takes a long time for a child to come to terms with living with only one parent and also it is very difficult for them to understand parents that are not married. Even from a psychological point of view for the children it is not a wise idea to have children in live in relationships. When the couple is pregnant, it would be the right decision to get into wedlock before the baby is born.
