Researches have concluded that women who have had abortions before are at an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy or also called the tubal pregnancy. Abortions also increase the risk of miscarriages.

The long term effects surface much later for example infertility or even future complications in pregnancies are determined much later. A lot of these symptoms also depend on the time of the abortion like most abortions are carried out between 13 to 18 weeks and some are also carried out at 23 weeks. Beyond this period no doctor advices an abortion because the risks and complications are higher than normal.
