Long term Calorie Restriction Diet

A calorie restriction diet is a dietary regime which is supposed to improve the condition of the heart and delay the aging process in people. Human beings have a fixed need of calories on an everyday basis depending on their lifestyle. When a person eats food, it can convert into two forms of energy -- one is the negative energy and the other is the positive energy.

Positive energy is consumed by the body but the negative energy can be stored by the body in the form of fat and cellulite. A calorie restriction diet aims at cutting down the bad energy generating food. However, it is not designed to consume lesser than what the body requires on a day to day basis. Some experiments conducted on rodents revealed that they benefited from a low calorie diet. The same principle is being used for humans and it is highly possible that even humans benefit in the same way.

A normal human being can consume anywhere between 2000 to 2500 calories everyday. If they exercise on a daily basis, then they may cut down the calories by 200 calories per day. However, a low calorie diet would only consist of 1000 to 1500 calories and a person can further use up a part of these calories through daily exercise. After some people voluntarily agreed to have a low calorie diet on an experimental basis, it was found after 5 days that people looked much healthier and also did not feel tired. In fact, they were more energetic and also sported a lean body look.
