These symbols were mainly used in Korea. These were typically depicted in the form of paintings and statues so that people understood the meaning of it. Some of the possible explanations could be that these symbols indicated several things that were needed for longevity like fitness, fun, increased vitality, inner peace, good health and longevity itself.
