Mosquito Bite Itch Remedy  

Mosquito bite itch can be agonizing and unbearable and they can cause the skin around the bite to swell. While there are number of ways to curb the mosquito bite itch, let’s look at some of the simple household remedies.

  • Massage a bar of soap over the affected itchy area. It gives an instant relief. Alternatively, you can also soak the bar of soap in water and then apply on the affected area.
  • Put a portion of scotch tape on the bitten area; or first wipe rubbing alcohol or ammonia on the affected area and then apply a piece of tape on it.
  • A hot water therapy can also be useful. Get a hot shower, or a hot bath, or you can also use a hot compress. Try to keep the hotness as high as you can bear it without hurting you.
  • You can also apply ice cube, ice pack or extremely cold water on the affected area.
  • Moreover, you can try using the following to get quicker relief:
  • Nail Polish
  • Strong tea mixed with rubbing alcohol
  • Toothpaste
  • Mouthwash
  • Vinegar (apply straight to the bitten area or get a hot bath with two cups of vinegar in the water)
  • Honey
  • Deodorant (straight apply to bitten area)
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Ammonia
  • Bleach
  • Tea: Use a hot tea bag or a cotton ball soaked in hot tea to dab on the bitten area

While the above mentioned home remedies should relief mosquito bite itch, but if it still persists consult your doctor immediately.
