How To Make Homemade Catfish Bait ?

Well, if you are a first timer catfish trapper chances are that you will end up buying readymade bait available at the local bait shop. You probably think that bait will attract lot of catfish. But, sorry that is not the reality. Occasionally these first timers come back empty handed at the dusk by trying out the whole day with the same bait. If you are serious catfish trapper, you need to make some appointments with the local fishermen who know very well what these fish actually like on a daily basis. You will be surprised to know that many fishermen get a bunch of catfish by just providing their chums.

These are actually a pre-bait area which contains small bits of the similar type of baits that will be utilized throughout the day. If you are planning to fish a tuna, then the tuna chum can be used to draw the attention of the catfish in your chosen area for fishing.

The easiest of all the homemade baits are the hot dogs. Cut the hot dogs into 1-inch slices and then push them onto the fishing hook. But before doing that you can try putting these hot dogs slices in a mason jar and add garlic in them. Keep this jar for several days and jerk once in a day so, that the pieces do not get stick to the jar. After few days, use these slices and fix them on the hook. The catfish will come running to such delicious bait and you will be amazed to see them hooked one after another.
