As far as the place where he grew up is concerned, it certainly was Virginia where he was born. Washington was born and brought up in a very big family. He joined Virginia militia at the age of 20 and became quite successful. He settled his life in Mount Vernon and this was the place where he met his wife Martha Curtis. They got married and lived in Mount Vernon even after their marriage.
Throughout his political career, he tried his best to make his nation grow in all spheres and took every decision keeping in mind the welfare of his nation and his people. George Washington had earned immense confidence that came as a result of the love and support of his own people. His balanced leadership along with his devotion & convictions towards his responsibilities made him earn the admiration and popularity amongst the American people. He spent most part of his life in Virginia and gained extreme popularity as a president.
He was most concerned about his duties and ignored all other aspects like any kinds of titles or crown that were being offered to him but he refused to accept them. His achievements pave way for a successful and balanced foundation for future leadership of his nation.
