Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of America, is one among the greatest personalities in the American political history. He is remembered till date for his significant contributions made to the American politics and also for his path breaking, strong economic views, now known as Reaganomics.

Ronald Reagan took birth on February 6, 1911 at Tampico in the state of Illinois. He was the second child of Nellie Wilson and John Reagan. Reagan, as a kid, led a normal life like any other kid in the town. In his initial years, he moved to many cities and towns, namely Galesburg, Monmouth, and Chicago, with his family before finally returning back to Tampico in 1919.

In year 1920, Reagan’s family shifted to Dixon. It is here that little Reagan did his primary schooling at Dixon High School. During his schooldays, he developed keen interest in extra-curricular activities, like storytelling, sports, and acting. In year 1926, when he was merely 15 years old, he began to work as the Rock River lifeguard near Dixon. This was his first job. During high school, he also performed incredibly in sports. He won an athletic scholarship, which enabled him to get admission in Eureka College, Illinois. At Eureka College, Reagan completed his graduation in sociology and economics, performed remarkably well in football, and also became a proud member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

Thus, in his childhood and teenage years, Reagan was a great athlete, a remarkable storyteller, and an incredible actor. All these qualities that developed in Reagan as a kid reflected all through the later part of his education and career as an actor in Hollywood and a great American politician.
