Eminem was born as Marshall Bruce Mathews III on October 17 of 1972. Eminem is a popular rapper in the US, and he instantly gained popularity with his maiden album called the Slim Shady LP. His stage name has been Eminem right from the beginning, and he is popularly known just by this name. |
He also won the Grammy Award for his maiden album as the Best Rapper and Rap album. The second album Marshall Mathers LP was the fastest selling album in music history. Rap was just beginning to gain popularity at that time, and Eminem was called the father of rap as he popularized it to a great extent. After he released his second album, he started the Shady Records and brought his group project called the D12.
Marshall Mathers along with his third album Eminem Show won several Grammy awards in different categories. In 2010 he got another Grammy for his album Relapse. So far in his career he has won 11 Grammy’s. Eminem also acted in a movie called 8 Mile with Kim Bassinger, who plays the role of his mother. Several people believe that 8 Mile was his own biography. He also sung Lose Yourself which won him a Grammy Award for the best original score. It was also the longest running Hip Hop song.
Eminem was touring actively until 2005, and then he completely put a stop to his singing. He then restarted his singing career in 2009 with his album called Relapse. Despite his hiatus, Eminem is known as the best selling music artist of the decade.
