Breast Milk Is The Storage Of Nutrition
| When it comes to a newborn, parents want to give the baby the very best. This is also true for nutrition. It has been proven scientifically that the best nutrition for a newborn baby is breast milk. Breast milk is perfect for infants as it protects them from illnesses.
It has been seen that infants who are fed breast milk are lower rates of hospital admissions, ear infections, diarrhea, allergies, rashes and other medical complications compared to infants who are formula fed.
Breast milk contains the just the right amounts of carbohydrate, protein and fat for an infant. In addition, breast milk provides the infant with digestive proteins, minerals, vitamins and hormones. Breast milk also contains important antibodies that help the baby to fight infections. Nearly 80 percent of the cells in breast milk are macrophages. These are cells that help kill bacteria, fungi and viruses. This is the reason why breast-fed babies have fewer illnesses. It has also known that mothers produce antibodies based on the environment they live in. Thus, breast feeding passes custom-designed antibodies that allow the baby to fight the diseases present around him or her.
Human milk contains at least 100 ingredients that are not found in formula. No baby is allergic to its mother’s milk but the baby can have a reaction to what the mother eats. If this happens, all the mother needs to do is stop eating that particular food item to eliminate the problem. Human milk straight from the breast is always sterile and cannot be contaminated by polluted water or dirty bottles, which can lead to diarrhea in the baby.
There is no doubt that breast milk is a storehouse of nutrition and new parents should realize that the best food and most nutritious diet for babies is breast milk.
