Celery has several healing and therapeutic properties. Among all the herbs, celery has the highest nutritional value, and is good for maintaining overall health. As per the botanical classification celery belongs to the Apiaceae family. It is from the genus or specie of Apium graveolens. It is also called smallage, marsh parsley and wild celery.

It is used to cure bronchitis, asthma, and also as a nerve tonic. The oil from the celery seeds can tone the nervous system and also make the immune system stronger. Having a spoonful of celery paste or seed powder can have long term positive effects on the health.
