The first symptom you can notice is vaginal discharge. Its color is milky white, off white or yellow. The discharge will be thicker than normal. It is caused due to the cervix being infected and the body is fighting the infection with the help of white blood cells which cause the discharge.

The second symptom is inflamed cervix. The cervix will be red, inflamed and swollen. It can also be felt when you are having sex as you will also feel discomfort in cervix. Sometimes by chance if you have touched your eyes after touching your genitals, they too may get infected. In such a case, you can notice that your eyes have become red, swollen and giving off a yellow discharge.

Your menstrual cycle will be irregular, which includes spotting and this is due to cervix being infected.

As soon as you notice these symptoms, consult a doctor. Chlamydia is a common STD and millions of people are infected by it annually. It can be treated, but get the treatment soon and do not think that it will be cured without any medicine.
