Typhoid is a condition and disease related to the bowels. The fever caused by typhoid is for an indefinite time and also it is a highly infectious disease. The symptoms of typhoid are usually severe. The best cure for typhoid is complete bed rest. The more a person rests, the better they get. The patient is also given a diet of juices like orange juice and barley water. Vitamin C promotes the body’s immune system, and that is why orange juice is prescribed for the patient. Also, the patient will need to have a warm water enema on a regular basis. If the fever is increasing rapidly, they will have to use a cold towel to cool the body down in order to control the temperature.
