Self-esteem plays a very important role in every person’s life. Students are mainly concerned about self-esteem. A simple compliment can just boost someone’s self-esteem. There are many factors that influence self-esteem and children are the most affected ones. Self-esteem prominently depends on an individual’s performance and his successful stints. His past experiences do play a major role in understanding and trying out things in future.

Some students do become over-confident and when suddenly they fail, emotions and esteem gets affected the most. Parents and teachers must guide and counsel children about importance of education, activities and performance. There should be a sporting spirit in each and every thing that they do. They might go through a number of problems in school pertaining to a particular subject.

All they need to do is discover a way to express themselves about their difficulties. At times, others behavior also plays a very prominent role. There should not be any comparisons made as that is the root cause for low self-esteem. Remember, school life is all about enjoying, understanding friends, classmates, subjects and awareness. Enjoy the life as these easy go moments will never come back. You are at a stage where life is easy going without any fear of competition and acceptance.

Discuss issues, read and keep asking questions. Try to make the most out of every experience. If you do not know anything, keep asking people about any doubt that comes across your mind. Develop interest in activities which involve people and subordinates. Meeting new people will surely help you to overcome the fear of uneasiness and it would indirectly help you to muster the courage to put your point across.
