The symptom of nausea could have its root cause linked with the kidneys. Nausea is a frequent complain of patients suffering from kidney stones and renal failure. Kidney stones are actually an accumulation of crystals within the organ. While the smaller stones generally tend to get eliminated along with the urine, the larger ones may require surgery.

Those suffering from nausea owing to the presence of kidney stones can also opt for other forms of tea like peppermint, chamomile and black tea. Sucking on peppermint candy could also work.

In circumstances of kidney failure, the best way of treating the nausea is to drink plenty of water or non aerated beverages. Such patients should eat light foods such as crackers or toast in order to minimize the nausea. Refrain from consuming oily or spicy foods as this will only aggravate the condition.
