Signs Of Stalking

Sometimes people do not know whether they are being stalked or just victims of unwanted attention. That is why it is important to know the signs of stalking and who can be a potential stalker.

The most likely person to become a stalker is a spurned lover and the least likely is a complete stranger. Research shows that a stalker is invariably a person the victim knows rather than someone he or she does not know.

Signs of Stalking:

Here are some of the most common signs of stalking.

Calling you persistently even after being told several times that he or she does not contact in any form.
A person waiting for you near your workplace or house even after being told that you do not want anything to do with him or her.
A person threatening you after being told not to contact you in any form.
Displaying manipulative behavior like threatening to commit suicide if you do not respond to his or her request.
Sending gifts that are sometimes romantic like flowers or chocolates, and sometimes bizarre like feather soaked in blood or dog teeth.
Sending you written messages in the form of letters and/or emails.
Defaming you to others. For example, telling other people that you have been disloyal to your relationship with him or her.
Constantly putting you down and making derogatory statements about you. This is the stalker's way of objectifying you so that it allows him or her to stay angry with you and not feel any empathy towards you.
