Why Is The Circulatory System Important ?

The circulatory system is the main system of the body that keeps us alive. Heart is the main organ that fuels the circulatory system and is very important for the functioning of the body. It is vital to understand what the circulatory system does in our body in order to understand why it is so important for us.

The main function of the circulatory system is to supply the cells of our body with blood, oxygen and nutrients. The cells need all these three components to carry out it functions and if they do get these three components then the cells in our body will die. If the cells in our body die, we also die. All this can happen very fast if the circulatory system stops functioning. The circulatory system is composed the heart and a very complicated network of blood vessels that carry blood all over the body.

There are two kinds of circulatory systems in our body one is the pulmonary which connects the lungs and the heart and the other circulatory system is the systemic system which carried blood back into the heart. With the help of these two circulatory systems the cells in our body our kept alive. The heart makes blood using the food we eat. There are other kinds of blood vessels called the capillaries and they are the smallest blood vessels. They carry blood and nutrients back into the heart and move in an upward direction.

If there is no circulatory system, then the body will come to a stand still because it is not getting any energy resources. That is why this system is so important.
