Epilepsy is a condition that causes frequent seizures because of increased activity in the brain. It is a neurological disorder and it can occur in any person at any time in their life. Epilepsy is a condition that is very complex to understand.
The seizures caused due to epilepsy can be controlled but unfortunately they cannot be cured. The only possible cure is that over a prolonged time if these seizures are controlled, then there is a possibility that they might stop eventually. There are more than 28 sub types of epilepsy and the symptoms for each sub type can vary. Epilepsy in people can be triggered due to several things like stress, anxiety and depression.
Epilepsy is a result of bad moods but it may not be the direct cause of mood swings in people. If a person who has a problem of epilepsy goes into depression or has eccentric behavior patterns, then the chances of seizures and epileptic attacks are increased.
Usually when a person is going through an epileptic seizure, it is not possible to control the convulsions. They have to be manually helped and secured so that they do not hurt themselves. Some people also lose complete consciousness during epileptic seizures. It is possible that as a warning sign before a seizure is about to occur, the person may exhibit extreme nervousness in the form of bad behavior and moodiness.
People diagnosed with epilepsy are treated with strong medications on a daily basis to control the seizures from occurring. However, taking medicines does not guarantee that the person will not get epileptic seizures.
