For more comfort in handling every-day activities, may tools and gadgets have been made available such as books in bold print for easier reading, measuring cups with contrasting colors for continuing baking , lights and magnifiers for watching movies and reading.
Magnifiers are available in many varieties and styles like pocket magnifiers, reading magnifiers, electronic magnifiers and floor lamp magnifiers. One should choose magnifier of the correct power for maximum benefit. This is regarded as a useful aid for people suffering from macular degeneration.
