Nebraska was 1st visited in the late 16th century by the fur traders from France. Later, after centuries passed away Clark and Lewis discovered eastern Nebraska in 1804-1806, this was related to the Louisiana Purchase in the year 1803.
The Oregon Trail was then explored in 1812 by Robert Stuart near Nebraska. It is supposed to be the 1st settlement for white people in 1823 at Bellevue. Later in the year 1848, the treaty signed subsequent to the Mexican War allowed to acquire Western Nebraska. A further development in the state started taking place with the transcontinental road in 1865 at Omaha was developed by the Union Pacific.
