Portland, which is located in the state of Oregon, is one of the most mesmerizing places on Earth a person should visit. The city has such a unique culture and attractions for visitor that one would never forget a visit to this city.

Portland is most visited for its art and literature festivals. Other than these there are hundreds of more things one can do in Portland. The Forest Park is a huge area that is spread in a place of more than 5,000 acres and is the largest of all city parks. Finding such a humungous place in the middle of the city is something unique. There are several trails inside the park. The best part about Portland is that several of these places to visit are free and since everything is in the nature one only has to pay for their accommodation.

The Saturday Market is a unique place where hundreds of vendors display various goods and creations. Several of the stuff sold here are handmade. You will find everything from pottery to jewelry, and this market is held under the Burnside Bridge on every Saturday through out the year. The Pioneer Courthouse Square is a historic place to visit, and is called Portland’s living room. You can just spend hours of your time here without even realizing. The International Rose Test Garden is one of the most beautiful parks to visit and hundreds of roses are displayed here throughout the year.

Literature is a big part of the culture in Portland, and one should not miss a visit the museum.
