Nationals from certain countries do not require a visa to travel to France. These nationals can stay for a maximum period of 90 days from the date of arrival. - A passport that is valid for at least three months from the date that the visa was requested
- A duly filled and signed visa application form
- 3 passport size photographs meeting the requirements set by the French embassy
- Financial guarantee in the form of salary slip, bank statements and credit card statements. These statements should be the most recent ones and should reflect activity of at least three months before you apply for the visa.
- Confirmed onward or return ticket. Original to and fro tickets have to be submitted to the embassy along with the visa application.
- Confirmed hotel reservation and the proof of it should be submitted along with the visa application.
- You need to give proof of your purpose for visiting France
- You need a travel and repatriation insurance
Depending on which country you are a national of, there many be some additional documents that you may be required to submit. This is decided by the embassy in your country and it changes from one country to another. Therefore, it is best to check with the French embassy in your home country with regard to all documents that you are required to submit along with the visa application.
